How Layering Helps
The small nuances can leave behind the largest impact. That holds true for the design of perfume and more so, the application. Today we will share with you ideas to lengthen the staying power of your fragrance, and enhance the way it emanates off your skin.
Applying two or more layers of scented products is Layering. The Tips below will get you started. Keep in mind to use bath and body products of the same family as your Perfume. You are looking for a longer lasting fragrance and not overwhelming amount of smell or mix of smells.
Start In The Shower
The First step to Layering is simple, use the Perfumed shower gel or bubble bath while in the shower to cleanse yourself, as you rinse off, a base layer of fragrance will be left behind on your skin
The next step would be applying a body cream or Lotion while your skin is still damp. Lotions & Creams Help Lock in body moisture, while providing a second layer of fragrance, this layer being stronger than the shower gel, and works directly in conjunction with your skin perfume.
Body Lotion or Body Cream?
If you have dry to normal skin body lotion will provide sufficient moisturizing effect.
If you have excessively dry skin, A Body cream has a deeper texture than lotions and helps retain the scent for longer time than a lotion.
For those of you who have a Oily skin apply a scented talc powder absorbs perspiration and provides the benefits of talc powder.
Time to apply your "final" layer
The Last step in Perfume layering is using the Perfume. Always apply them on the pulse points to make the scent last longer as the skin is warmer in these areas. Hold the perfume bottle at least 12 inches away from the skin. You could also spray the perfume in the air and walk through it.
